I get asked this constantly as a solo female traveler. The answer changes depending on the day, honestly. Sometimes fear shows up, but it's always outweighed by what I'd miss if I let it stop me. Love conversations like this.

I went on a solo trip to Ireland back in 2013. It was honestly the best thing I've ever done for myself. Of course, be aware of your surroundings but don't allow your fears to hold you back. There is a beautiful magic in self discovery:)

Thank you for capturing all this so well, Emma :) forever an advocate for empowering women to solo travel and surpass their fears!!! (While keeping that head on a swivel of course and not getting drunk and lost 😆🌟)

Yes - keeping your heart open to genuine people, while also being street smart enough to trust your instincts… travelling alone means you find and more - and people talk to you more (whether you want them to or not!!!)

Yeah I actually feel like I miss out on talking to cool strangers if I’m with someone!

Realizing that there are mostly good people in the world was a huge takeaway for me as a solo traveler too! It’s such a nice, calming thing to learn

It’s actually really sad to think that most people are afraid to go because they don’t realise most people are good. I loved Abby’s analogy about the world being a glass half full.
